Three patterns I use weekly:
1. “Output as JSON with this schema” — kills 90% of formatting follow-ups.
2. “Critique your previous answer first, then revise” — catches its own hallucinations.
3. “List 3 ways this could be wrong” — better than asking it to be confident.
