Which Loksewa publication is genuinely best for GK and IQ — Pokhrel or Upadhyaya?

Short answer: Pokhrel for breadth and the Nepal-specific GK that recurs in first-paper MCQs; Upadhyaya for the IQ logic patterns that show up under time pressure.

• Pokhrel — Nepali history, constitutional milestones, geography, government structure. Strong on the items that the panel repeats.
• Upadhyaya — number series, syllogisms, coding-decoding. Most candidates lose marks here for speed, not concept.
