Migrated our payment reconciliation service from Node to Go in Q4 2025. Real numbers:
– p99 latency: 240ms → 38ms
– Memory: 1.2GB → 180MB
– Hiring: HARDER. Maybe 1 in 10 React applicants knows any Go.
Would I do it again? For services with heavy concurrency, yes. For CRUD, no — Node is fine.
